As a result of numerous requests by my patients, I have begun giving a limited series of week-long, hands on, one-on-one seminars on non-oral hormone replacement therapy (HRT) with periodic monitoring of free unbound blood hormone level. The course will be open to board certified OB-GYN specialists with established practices. Enrollment fee is $5,000. Physicians unable to be away from their practices for more than two days can enroll in an abreviated 2-day course for $2,500. BIOIDENTICAL NON-ORAL HORMONE REPLACEMENT THERAPY

COURSE OUTLINE

Objectives:

1) Learn the correct techniques for measurement of free unbound blood estradiol, testosterone, and progesterone levels.

2) Understand the crucial necessity of monitoring these levels when providing bioidentical HRT.

3) Make arrangements to obtain these hormone measurements with a medical laboratory that does them correctly.

4) Find a licensed compounding pharmacist with the expertise to provide estradiol, testosterone, and progesterone as topical creams or subcutaneous pellets.

5) Provide an informed consent form for the patient to read and sign.

6) Practical hands-on instruction in technique of insertion of subcutaneous pellets.

7) Aid in obtaining necessary equipment to use the pellets.

8) Controlling hormone levels in either direction when they need to be corrected, and when to do it.

The course will be a one-on-one tutorial over a Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday (5 day period). An OB-Gyn who completes it can reasonably expect to replace his or her obstetrical practice completely over a two year period without any loss of income.
